Åsele market
The largest popular festival in Norrland according to the organiser, with around 200 stallholders, a funfair, performers on stage, folkrace and auctions. The dates for 2027 are published by the market at aselemarknad.se.

The original market was a winter market. It lives on as a smaller market in February.

A Saturday at the end of March. In 2026 it was held on 21 March
Åsele-Nappet
Ice-fishing competition organised by Åsele IK since 1963, with prizes worth hundreds of thousands of kronor and a first prize of SEK 20,000. Among the largest in the country.

Each new issue of Åselenytt is read through as it comes out. From the notices we lift only the bare facts, what, when and where; the wording is ours. No date goes up without backing in the paper. Last gone through 22 oktober 2026. Organisers who would like an entry changed or taken down only need to ask.
